Overview

Hearth does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything you enter into Hearth lives exclusively in your personal iCloud account. Sodium Studio, LLC has no access to your data, ever.

What Data Hearth Stores

All data you enter into Hearth, including home details, appliance records, vehicle information, service provider contacts, utility accounts, pet information, and belongings, is stored exclusively in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework.

Your data is:

• Stored on Apple's iCloud servers under your Apple ID

• Encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest

• Accessible only to you (and others you share your iCloud with)

• Governed by Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy

Sodium Studio, LLC never has access to any data you store in Hearth.

Data We Do Not Collect

Sodium Studio, LLC does not collect:

• Personal information of any kind

• Usage data or analytics

• Crash reports or diagnostics tied to individual users

• Device identifiers

• Location data

• Names, email addresses, or contact information

• Payment information (all purchases are processed by Apple)

What Apple Provides to Us

As the platform operator, Apple provides Sodium Studio, LLC with anonymous, aggregated data through App Store Connect, including total download counts, anonymous crash reports, and App Store search terms that led users to Hearth. This data is never tied to individual users, and we have no way to identify any specific user from it. Apple's collection and handling of this information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy https://www.apple.com/privacy.

Third-Party Libraries

Hearth uses PhoneNumberKit, an open-source Swift library for formatting phone numbers. PhoneNumberKit operates entirely on your device, makes no network requests, and transmits no data to any third party.

Apple Reminders

Access If you choose to set maintenance reminders in Hearth, those reminders are written to your Apple Reminders app through Apple's EventKit framework. They live in your Reminders database on your device and in your iCloud, not on any server controlled by Sodium Studio, LLC. You can revoke Hearth's access to Reminders at any time in iOS Settings.

Camera and Document Scanning

Hearth can scan receipts and warranty documents using your device's camera through Apple's VisionKit framework. Scanned images are processed entirely on your device and saved as attachments to your records in your iCloud. No image data is transmitted to Sodium Studio, LLC or any third party.

iCloud and Apple

Your Hearth data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms of Service. We encourage you to review Apple's privacy practices at https://www.apple.com/privacy.

In-App Purchases

All in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Sodium Studio, LLC does not receive or store any payment information. Apple's App Store Privacy Policy governs all purchase transactions.

Children's Privacy

Hearth is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
